During this 10 day camp players will stay at the Loto- Tonga Soka Center, the training grounds for the Men’s and Women’s Tongan National teams- located in the village of Veitongo. Players will participate in daily soccer trainings, scrimmages against local teams, two service projects, cultural exchange activities, and four excursions exploring the island of Tongatapu.

Program Details

  • Cultural Exchange: Encourage mutual respect and understanding between Tongan and American Players through shared experiences and traditions.

  • Skill Development: Offer high-quality soccer training under the guidance of OFC-certified coaches and FIFA-certified instructors, providing a unique opportunity for player development.

  • Leadership & Service: Teach Players to become leaders on and off the field through community service and collaborative projects.

  • Pathway Building: Create potential pipelines for talented Players to gain international exposure and access to future opportunities.

Camp Highlights

  • Daily Trainings- Players will participate in daily trainings run by OFC B and C licensed coaches. Including a certified FIFA instructor and Head coach of the Men's and Women’s Tonga National team- Kilifi Uele.

  • Service projects- Players will participate in two service projects. One chosen by the Tonga Football Association, and another visiting a school in one of the local villages. We are also asking all participants to collect up to 5 pairs of new or gently used cleats or shin guards to be donated to local players.

  • Cultural Exchange- Players will enjoy a traditional Tongan meal and dance hosted by local members of the village. Have the opportunity to learn different traditional Tongan artisan practices. (ex. making ngatu and weaving)

  • Excursions- In addition to camp, Players will participate in four excursions:

1. An Island tour stopping at all major landmarks across Tongatapu.

2. A beach day playing at one of Tonga’s beautiful beaches.

3. A day visiting Nuku’alofa and exploring the local artisan markets.

4. A boat ride to one of Tonga’s private islands.

  • Additional Activities- Players will have the option to attend a church service at one of the local churches and host a World Cup watch party for kids and players from the local villages.
